| 04/27/07 Aloha friends, May 4th FIRST FRIDAYS IN GHENT—NORFOLK, VA. Come to the Ghent Gallery crawl, I’ll be showing my photographs at East Coast Bikes on Colley Ave. so stop by and check it out. This upscale gallery crawl event will have diners and shoppers enjoying Historic Ghent with street musicians, entertainers, and a multitude of artists showing their work in the many shops along Colley Ave. Free parking and transportation will be available. 6-9 p.m. (757) 353-6063. 04/22/07 I wanted to say mahalo to all our sponsors and friends who helped to make the show at Hell's Kitchen such a success. Sprinkle Masonry, Bayview Plaza Pharmacy, Myers Concepts, East Coast Bikes, Alpha Music, and Belcou. It was buzzing all night long - Liz Barnes and Chris Bridge kept us entertained with the live jazz, Hell's Kitchen provided catering and my Mom baked a ton of Greek pastries that everyone enjoyed. Mahalo to my mates Ross Harvey, Tripp Johnson, and Troy for all of their hard work, knowledge and strong backs. Brian and Kevin, thanks for your hospitality and providing us with a venue to display our work. Special thanks to the members of the staff; Cary, Crystal, John, Lanie, Gene, Cassie, Heavy and the crew at Hell's, the food was outstanding! Aloha Nui Loa to Me Mum for coming such a long way to help, for all her hard work both in the kitchen and at the show. And thanks to my friends and fellow artists, Peter Buscher, Lori Golding, Elaine Soalqua, and Selina Bragg, for providing us with the reason to come out and enjoy some great art. | ||
| 02/18/07 A few artist friends and I have confirmed an art show at HELL’S KITCHEN - Norfolk for April 2, 2007. The artists showing are, Elaine Solaqua, Selina Bragg, Dominic Peters, Lori Golding and Peter Buescher. The work on display and for purchase will include: jewelry design, paintings, photography and these wicked pencil drawings. (The coolest thing about this show, I think) Live Jazz will be provided by Liz Barnes with bassist Chris Bridge - and then stick around for the debut appearance of N.I.L. - a little bit Hillbilly, little bit country, little bit train-song, a lot of F@#!in’ fun. Come stomp with us! (Rumor has it Liz Barnes will also be special guest) It should make for an excellent evening so mark the date; get a date, bring your checkbook, and buy some art. ...Or just come and eat some food and drink some Woodford Reserve® whilst you hang out with some great people. | 10/5/05 We’ve completed an installation of 30-plus photographs at Alpha Music. The owners and patrons of the arts, Eddie and Debbie Hancock, have been gracious enough to allow me to create a small photography gallery in the finest music store in Virginia. There are other pieces displayed throughout the building so stop in and buy a guitar, or some drums, and maybe a photograph or two to brighten up your new music room! |
